Laura Carpenter is an award-winning author and the founder of Emerald Harbour, a publishing imprint built to house emotionally resonant, beautifully branded fiction across multiple genres and pen names.
Known for cinematic storytelling, layered characters, and a strong sense of place, Laura’s work is deeply shaped by Irish settings, family bonds, emotional realism, and the tension between tenderness and high stakes. Her storytelling sensibility blends literary warmth with commercial readability, creating books designed to linger.
She is the winner of the 2025 Impact International Indie Award for Contemporary Romance. When she is not writing or building story worlds, she is raising her family in Vancouver, surrounded by books, music, three Maine Coon cats, and a mischievous Cavapoo.
